God is leading us to reach our city with the message of the Gospel. However, if we desire to be a continuing part of God’s mission to reach our community and the world we must be good stewards of the blessings God has already given us. We have an exciting opportunity to do even Greater Things with the 70 acres of land on the Creedmoor Road property. God led us to this land and gave us a heart for expanding our facilities in order that we might reach even more people.

We want to take advantage of this opportunity and move forward by aggressively reducing our financial obligation. You can be a part of this vision by bringing financial freedom and flexibility for the future, which will allow us to continue to grow and reach our world.

• 20% of our disbursements go toward debt.

• If we pay off the debt in a three-year capital campaign, it will save us approximately 3.5 million dollars over the life of the loan.

• Begin site preparation for the Creedmoor Road property

• Make capital improvements to keep the Bay Leaf facilities up to date.

God has given His church a specific plan to grow His kingdom. When we, as a church, come in line with His will, amazing things begin to happen and lives are changed. As we look to the future, there are wonderful opportunities ahead of us. Now, let us come together as the family of God and prepare for the future!

Ways to Give:

   • Checks – make payable to “Bay Leaf Baptist Church” and in the memo write “Greater Things Campaign”
   • Cash
   • Stocks, Bonds, or other marketable assets
   • Estate Planning

How to Give:

   • Determine God’s will and the commitment that He is leading your household to make for Greater Things.
   • Commitment Day, October 23 - Fill out your commitment card and bring it to the Commitment Service.
   • First Fruits Offering, October 30 – Bring the first part of your total commitment.
      (If you cannot attend the service on October 30, bring your envelope to the church office by Friday, October 28 so it can be included).

How is this different than my tithe?
The ministries of Bay Leaf Baptist Church will continue to expand during our campaign, so please continue to bring your tithe in addition to the offerings God leads you to give for Greater Things…Preparing for the Future. When there is a meaningful opportunity like this, God asks us to go above and beyond the tithe, which is our minimum worship requirement.
