the Philosophy
Little Lambs Learning Center believes that every child is a child of God and should have every opportunity to develop spiritually, socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically to their highest potential in a loving environment. With a structured day and loving teachers, every opportunity will be provided for your child to feel secure as they discover the world around them.
To provide a spiritual foundation for children.
To help children develop trusting and responsible relationships
with other children and adults.
To provide social interaction with other children.
To provide activities designed to develop large and small motor skills.
To provide opportunities for children to succeed at the tasks
suitable to their developmental level.
To provide opportunities for children to develop basic learning
skills for pre-reading, pre-writing, and math integrated in the
day's activities.
Curriculum
Our Preschool uses Wee-Learn and A Beka curriculums to provide environments and experiences that enhance and promote all stages and areas of development. Each teacher writes a detailed lesson plan that includes age appropriate activities and materials, goals and objectives.
Parents receive a weekly door note. Each classroom is set up to encourage a sense of learning, discovery and community. This is accomplished by planning and providing a variety of learning centers as well as experiences and activities that support children's learning.
Music is held each week with a music teacher where through the use of movement, songs, and instruments they learn important skills. Infants through Five year old classes attend Music. The children participate in Christmas and Easter Musicals.
Chapel services are held once a week. Stories and scripture about loved Bible heroes, Jesus and his life and God's love are shared with children in our Two through Five year old classes. The children go to the Chapel for these services.
Discovery/Science is held each week for our One year old through Five year old classes. The Discovery teacher plans age-appropriate Bible-based activities to help the children learn about the world around them.
