Welcome to the Men's Page

  • Our Mission

We exist to encourage men to embrace their spiritual opportunities and responsibilities, representing Jesus Christ and his kingdom in all they do.

    Our goal

To sustain and grow a dynamic and relevant ministry focused on encouraging and discipling men, using sound biblical teachings, hands on ministry opportunities and practical advice with a relational focus.

We believe that men will grow stronger in their faith through application focused an in understanding of gods word with an encouragement and fellowship of like-minded men, particularly in a small group, relationally focused, setting.

    Outdoor's Ministry

The Outdoor Men’s Ministry at Bay Leaf Baptist Church was established in 2010 and serves as a vehicle to unite men of our church and the community for outdoor related functions. The Outdoor Men’s Ministry also promotes other Christian Outdoor Organizations that are of interest to our members.

In 2010, we hosted several events including a skeet shoot and pig-pickin at Mallard Cove in Faison. We also had an informative evening for hunters called “Hunting with Hal” with Bay Leaf member Hal Atkinson as our key-note speaker. Hal was a member of the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission for many years and has hunted around the world. Hal’s presentation included many great tips and tricks on his hunting techniques, and tips for hunters looking to go abroad for hunting excursions.

The Outdoor Men’s Ministry also hosted the Duck Commander himself, Phil Robertson. Phil gave a great lecture-sermon on his background and calling to share the Gospel around the country. Good music, food, and lots of door prices made this an evening to remember.
