BAY LEAF LADIES RETREAT

The purpose of the annual Bay Leaf Ladies Retreat is to hear God’s direction by focusing on Scriptures that help guide and direct in everyday life.  To provide our women with an opportunity to relax and renew hearts.  It is also a wonderful time to  fellowship by making new friends and growing closer to existing ones.

Speaker: Debra Smith Jenkins is a native North Carolinian. She is originally from Forest City, NC, however, she has called Raleigh home since 1979. Debra received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Gardner Webb University, and practiced as a Registered Nurse until becoming a stay at home mother and full time community volunteer in 1985. Over the years, she has been active in many community organizations including The Junior League of Raleigh, The Raleigh Women's Club, and The Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Debra has also spent countless hours on the PTA Boards of Saint Timothy's, Saint David's, Brassfield Elementary, West Millbrook Middle, and Millbrook High, always serving in leadership roles. Debra has always been very active in church, teaching high school Sunday School for over 30 years. At Bay Leaf Baptist, where she has been a member for 25 years, she currently serves as the teacher leader of the Wednesday Morning Women's JOY Bible Study, and as a mentor to young women and mothers. Debra also serves as co- chair of the Hospitality and Wedding Committees, and has actively participated on numerous other committees over the years.
Debra has been married to her high school sweetheart, Dale, for 32 years, and they have three adult children: Mary Kathryn, who is married to Joseph Bumgarner; Griff, who is married to the former Ashley Bell; and Elizabeth, who is currently a Junior, at Wake Forest University. Debra enjoys studying and teaching the Bible, spending time with her family, entertaining, cooking and eating delicious food, traveling, skiing, Wake Forest sports, and reading good books.

Includes accommodations, Saturday breakfast, lunch & dinner, and Sunday breakfast (does not include Friday dinner).

HEART 2 HEART
Heart 2 Heart is a fellowship ministry to women ages 18 & up. We hope to connect women and develop a stronger community among the women at Bay Leaf.
The purpose of this fellowship time would be to give you an opportunity for:

• Monthly fellowship with the other women of the church - time for conversation and relaxation - no homework! And no charge to come!
• Getting to know one another and being encouraged by what the Lord is doing in other believers' lives through a time of testimony
• Looking at Scripture together from a female perspective, as we focus on issues that we all deal with in day to day life as women
• An opportunity to invite other women to fellowship with us, be encouraged, and bond in unity in the body of Christ 
• Hear God's Word and how it pertains to our day to day lives

Each month there will be a speaker who will seek to encourage the women through a message.
