Local Mission Opportunities

Bay Leaf partners with local schools in an effort to impact our community. Churches and schools bring people together in order to accomplish a mission. Where these missions overlap, we partner in order to work toward community transformation.

Bay Leaf currently partners with Brassfield Elementary School and West Millbrook Middle School. Bay Leaf volunteers mentor students, assist teachers in their classrooms, encourage all faculty with monthly care packages, and partner on facility enhancement projects.

The Bay Leaf Builders exist is to show Christian love to those in need by using carpentry skills to bless others in their time of need. The builders partner weekly with Resources for Seniors to build handicap ramps for senior adults and others needing assistance to stay in their homes. The builders also assist church members and other organizations like the Baptist Children's Home and New Life Camp with construction and repair needs.

The goal of Helping Hands for Missions is to share our love of the Lord, and His people by making items with our own hands - sewing, knitting, crocheting, decorating, and other hand work - and using our hearts to serve the Lord in helping others in our community, our nation and around the world. We will work diligently in a manner that brings glory to His name; - praying fervently for the ones who will receive our gifts made with love in the fellowship of believers.

Jobs for Life is a global nonprofit organization based in Raleigh that engages and equips the local church to make disciples by addressing the impact of joblessness through the Christian value for the dignity of work. Last spring God granted great success with our first Jobs for Life class & we now eagerly anticipate what God will do next. This ministry is a profound way to help people find genuine fulfillment through a life anchored in Christ. Participants are challenged to understand their identity in Christ and they are invited into a network of relationships to help connect them to meaningful employment.
