Bay Leaf Baptist Church and local ministry, North Raleigh Ministries, are working together to help feed the needy in Wake County.  North Raleigh Ministries serves hundreds of families each week through the Thrift Store at Harvest Plaza.  Bay Leaf can be a help by helping to provide food.

The mission of North Raleigh Ministries is to provide for the physical needs of families, but most of all to share the love of Jesus.

A grocery bag, with an instruction sheet, will be placed under the wiper blade of your vehicle on Sunday, November 12th.  Fill the bag for a family with the requested non-perishable items for a Thanksgiving or Christmas celebration. The items needed are vegetables, especially green beans and corn; instant potatoes; canned sweet potatoes; paper goods such as napkins and toilet paper; and other items that will complete someone’s celebration. In addition they can always use pasta, spaghetti sauce, crackers, paper towels, and cleaning products such as Windex, Clorox, etc.

Return the bags on Sunday, November 19th to the cargo van parked in the drop-off zone between the rear entry of the Family Life Center and the Preschool Hall foyer.

Don’t worry, you can bring your filled bags to the evening activities and leave it in the Family Life Center where it will be collected.
