“Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises.” James 5:13

Congregational Care Ministry

At Bay Leaf we believe caring relationships connect us to one another and to God. In addition, God uses our caring relationships to make believers conduits of His unconditional love toward others. The Congregational Care ministry desires to strengthen the Bay Leaf Baptist Church membership and it’s community by actively sharing God’s love and compassion toward others. Furthermore, their desire is accomplished through many avenues of touching lives in the greatest area of need.

Prayer Ministry

“Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2

Prayer is at the heart and soul of who Bay leaf is. At Bay Leaf we seek to bathe all situations in prayer.

A monthly prayer meeting with Pastor Jeff Salisbury takes place on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:45PM in the Fellowship Hall where people come together to pray for specific needs.

Baptism

“...having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.” Colossians 2:12

Baptism is a representation of the work Jesus did on behalf of mankind. Jesus died on the cross – mankind dies to sin. Jesus was placed in the tomb – mankind placed under the baptism waters, Jesus rose from the grave – mankind is brought up out of the water to walk in the newness of life.

  • Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the world. He was place in a tomb and after three days He rose from the grave conquering death. People that put their faith and trust in Him as Lord and Savior can be baptized. By participating in baptism, a person is professing Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior to the congregation.
