Welcome to Bay Leaf
With two locations in North Raleigh, we’re on a mission to reach people of all ages with the gospel of Jesus Christ. At Bay Leaf, you’ll experience:

Our services
Bay Leaf has three Sunday morning worship opportunities for the entire family, two at the Falls Lake campus and one at the 540 campus. Because we believe in the sole authority of the Bible to instruct us, we preach through the books of the Bible section by section, allowing the text to teach us.
Our leadership
Bay Leaf Baptist Church is congregationally governed and is led by a dedicated team of pastors, ministry directors, and support staff who serve our church family and community.
Dr. Jared Richard, Senior Pastor, earned a Ph.D. in applied theology with an emphasis in preaching from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature with a minor in religious studies from Louisiana State University. He and his wife Jordan have been married 12 years and have two children.

Our beliefs
- We believe that Jesus Christ is the highest authority in the church, the head. Our pastors are charged with leading and caring for the members of the church, the body.
- We are a partner of the Southern Baptist Convention, a collection of like-minded local churches who are faithful to the teachings of God‘s Word and who seek to help people become followers of Jesus around the world.
- We believe that being fully immersed in water for baptism is the first step of obedience for a new Christian.
Our vision to reach North Raleigh
In November of 2023, Bay Leaf set out on a brand new work to multiply the ministry outreach of Bay Leaf Baptist Church to North Raleigh and beyond. Why? Because we want everyone in North Raleigh to know Jesus. This initiative will include the construction of a second campus at the strategic location of Creedmoor Road at I-540. While the building is under construction, we’re meeting in Sycamore Creek Elementary School.
