Every believer sent

Until Everyone Hears

God has called Bay Leaf to saturate North Raleigh with the gospel of Jesus Christ. That mission is already in front of us, in our neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and the ordinary places we spend our days.

We want to be a church that knows the people around us, makes room for them in our lives, and is ready to share the hope of Jesus. Until everyone hears.

The mission is right here.

For years, we have prayed that God would use Bay Leaf to saturate North Raleigh with the gospel. We have seen Him change lives, make disciples, and open doors for ministry. We are thankful for what He has done, and we do not believe He is finished with us.

Our vision has never been limited to what happens when we gather on Sunday. God sends His people back into neighborhoods, offices, classrooms, ballfields, coffee shops, and homes. Those are the places where relationships form and gospel conversations begin.

So we are asking a simple question: Who has God placed in my life who needs to hear?

Until my neighbor hears. Until my coworker hears. Until my friend hears. Until everyone hears.

How We Live Sent

When Jesus calls us to follow Him, He also brings us into His mission. We want to grow in four practices that help us live that out where God has already placed us.

They are connected. We move toward people and make room for real relationships. We look for opportunities to share the gospel clearly. And when someone follows Jesus, we keep walking with them as they grow.

  • Engage Your Community  Pay attention to the people and needs around you. Be present. Listen. Serve. Learn names and stories. Who could you move toward?
  • Practice Hospitality  Let people into the rhythms of your life. A meal, a cup of coffee, or a simple invitation can make room for someone to be known and cared for. Who could you make room for?
  • Share the Gospel  Tell someone who Jesus is, what He has done, and why the gospel is good news. Invite them to repent, believe, and follow Him. Who needs to hear?
  • Make Disciples – Walk with people as they learn to follow Jesus. Open Scripture together. Pray. Encourage obedience. Keep pointing one another to Christ. Who could you walk alongside?

Most of us can name at least one area where we need to grow. Start there. Ask the Lord to show you who is in front of you and what faithfulness looks like next.

Moving Toward Gospel Conversations

Inviting a neighbor to dinner is not the same as sharing the gospel. Neither is praying with a coworker or helping someone through a hard week. Still, those moments matter. They can deepen trust and create room for conversations about Jesus.

At Bay Leaf, we call a meaningful relational step like this Entry. Evangelism is different: the good news of Jesus is clearly shared, and someone is invited to repent, believe, and follow Him.

We want to celebrate both without blurring the difference. Love people genuinely. Keep moving toward them. And as God opens the door, be ready to speak clearly about Christ.

A Picture of Faithfulness

At both campuses, in the coming weeks, you will see green and white ping-pong balls that will help us see moments that would otherwise stay hidden.

  • White ping-pong balls will represent Entry: meaningful relational steps toward others.
  • Green ping-pong balls will represent Evangelism: moments when the gospel is clearly shared.

The wall is not meant to be a scoreboard. It is a simple way to remember that behind every ping-pong ball is a person, a relationship, and a moment when someone in our church family chose to move toward another person with the hope of Jesus. So, let it point us to prayer and praising God for what He is doing.

Our prayer is that one moment leads to another, and that more people hear the gospel.

Who Has God Placed Around You?

Pause long enough to let a name come to mind. Maybe it is a neighbor, a coworker, a friend, or someone you see every week.

You cannot control where the conversation goes or what that person will do with the gospel. You can pray. You can move toward them. You can make room. And you can be ready to speak about Jesus.

Where do you need to grow? Who is in front of you? Until everyone hears.
