Early Childhood Assistant Teacher

Requirements

  • We are a faith-based preschool sharing the love of Jesus Christ with our children, their families, and staff.
  • We are looking for staff who have experience in a preschool/childcare setting or who are moving from teaching older children to a more flexible environment.
  • Early Childhood Teaching Certification or a teaching degree is a plus.
  • If you do not have experience but love children and are willing to learn new skills, we welcome your application.

Responsibilities

  • Assistant Teachers would work with 8-12 children under the direction and supervision of a Lead Teacher and Administrative team.
  • We serve children ages 8 weeks through 5 years old and are currently in need of staff to teach in Infants, One-Year-Olds, and Two-Year-Olds

Job Description

Little Lambs at Bay Leaf has had the opportunity to serve our community for over twenty years and is currently seeking Assistant Teachers in our infant, one-year-old, and two-year-old classes. We operate from late August through May and offer three weeks of summer camps during the summer. Our staff hours are 9 am to 2 pm Monday – Friday. We have open positions that are Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday as well as a five-day (Monday-Friday) position available. We focus on providing daily growth in the following areas: Bible, academics, social/emotional, language, cognitive, and physical in a developmentally appropriate environment that is safe, fun, positive, nurturing, and loving. We strive to provide a great working environment where teachers are appreciated and cared for as they care for the children.

Interviews are currently being conducted and will continue through late August or until all positions are filled.

Our pay rates are competitive.

  4. Attend an interview.
  1. Complete background and reference checks. In addition, you will be asked to read and affirm the Little Lambs Teacher and Staff Manual along with the Little Lambs Family Manual.
  2. Accept the offer–If we feel you are the right fit, we will contact you via email and let you know our decision. We must receive your confirmation of acceptance to the offer by simply responding to the employment offer email.
  3. Complete payroll paperwork–All of the following documents will need completed and submitted: information page, W-4, NC-4, I-9, direct deposit, a copy of your driver's license, and a copy of your social security card.
  4. Attend CPR and First Aid Training provided by Little Lambs.
