Jonah 1:1-17

A Sent People

Promotion Sunday marks an exciting new season in the life of our church as our Next Gen ministries move into a new year of learning and growing together. It also begins Saturate: Until Everyone Hears, a new initiative calling us to consider how God has sent us into the places and relationships around us with the good news of Jesus. Pastor Jared Richard will lead us through Jonah 1:1-17 as we begin this new series together. Take some time before Sunday to read Jonah 1 and listen to the worship songs ahead of time as we prepare to gather, celebrate, and look toward all God will do in the weeks ahead.

Lyrics

I was buried beneath my shame
Who could carry that kind of weight?
It was my tomb ‘Til I met You

I was breathing but not alive
All my failures I tried to hide
It was my tomb ‘Til I met You

You called my name
And I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day

Now Your mercy has saved my soul
Now Your freedom is all that I know
The old made new
Jesus, when I met You

I needed rescue, my sin was heavy
But chains break at the weight of Your glory
I needed shelter, I was an orphan
Now You call me a citizen of Heaven
When I was broken, You were my healing
Now Your love is the air that I’m breathing
I have a future, my eyes are open
‘Cause when You called my name
I ran out of that grave

Lyrics

In the name of the Father
In the name of the Son
In the name of the Spirit
Lord we come

We're gathered together
To lift up Your name
To call on our Savior
To fall on Your grace

Hear the joyful sound
Of our offering
As Your saints bow down
As Your people sing
We will rise with You
Lifted on Your wings
And the world will see that

Our God saves
Our God saves
There is hope
In Your name

Mourning turns
To songs of praise
Our God saves
Our God saves

I Surrender All

Lyrics

All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Humbly at His feet I bow.
Worldly pleasures all forsaken,
Take me, Jesus, take me now.

I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel Thy Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine.

I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me.

I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

I surrender all.
