Acts 2:42-47

Devoted to Prayer

This Sunday, Pastor Patrick will continue our series in Acts 2:42–47 with a message titled Devoted to Prayer. The early church modeled a deep dependence on God through prayer, and we’ll be reminded of the power and privilege it is for us to seek Him together. As you prepare for worship, take time this weekend to read the passage and reflect on how prayer shapes both our lives and our church. Listening to the songs ahead of time is also a great way to set your heart toward God as we gather with expectancy for Him to move among us.

All I Have is Christ

Lyrics

Hallelujah! All I have is Christ
Hallelujah! Jesus is my life

I once was lost in darkest night
Yet thought I knew the way
The sin that promised joy and life
Had led me to the grave
I had no hope that You would own
A rebel to Your will
And if You had not loved me first
I would refuse You still

But as I ran my hell-bound race
Indifferent to the cost
You looked upon my helpless state
And led me to the cross
And I beheld God's love displayed
You suffered in my place
You bore the wrath reserved for me
Now all I know is grace

Hallelujah! All I have is Christ
Hallelujah! Jesus is my life

Now, Lord, I would be Yours alone
And live so all might see
The strength to follow Your commands
Could never come from me
Oh Father, use my ransomed life in any way You choose
Oh Father, use my ransomed life in any way You choose
And let my soul forever be my only boast is you

Hallelujah! All I have is Christ
Hallelujah! Jesus is my life

I Need Thee Every Hour

Lyrics

I need Thee ev'ry hour,
most gracious Lord;
no tender voice like Thine
can peace afford.

I need Thee, O I need Thee;
ev'ry hour I need Thee;
O bless me now, my Savior,
I come to Thee.

I need Thee ev'ry hour,
stay Thou nearby;
temptations lose their pow'r
when Thou art nigh.

I need Thee, O I need Thee;
ev'ry hour I need Thee;
O bless me now, my Savior,
I come to Thee.

I need Thee ev'ry hour,
in joy or pain;
come quickly and abide,
or life is vain.

I need Thee, O I need Thee;
ev'ry hour I need Thee;
O bless me now, my Savior,
I come to Thee.

I need Thee ev'ry hour,
most Holy One;
O make me Thine indeed,
Thou blessed Son.

I need Thee, O I need Thee;
ev'ry hour I need Thee;
O bless me now, my Savior,
I come to Thee.

Lyrics

What love could remember
No wrongs we have done
Omniscient all knowing
He counts not their sum
Thrown into a sea
Without bottom or shore
Our sins they are many
His mercy is more

Praise the Lord
His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness
New every morn
Our sins they are many
His mercy is more

What patience would wait
As we constantly roam
What Father so tender
Is calling us home
He welcomes the weakest
The vilest the poor
Our sins they are many
His mercy is more

Praise the Lord
His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness
New every morn
Our sins they are many
His mercy is more

What riches of kindness
He lavished on us
His blood was the payment
His life was the cost
We stood 'neath a debt
We could never afford
Our sins they are many
His mercy is more

Praise the Lord
His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness
New every morn
Our sins they are many
His mercy is more

Lyrics

You call the sun to rise
And You lay it down to rest
You hold this heart of mine
And You hold my every breath

Such an awesome God
So mighty so holy
So wonderful
Such an awesome God
So selfless so generous
So faithful You are

Seated in majesty
Reigning in holiness
The table is set for me
For You are the living bread

Such an awesome God
So mighty so holy
So wonderful
Such an awesome God
So selfless so generous
So faithful You are

And nothing comes close
To the Lord Almighty
Nothing as sweet as
His love and mercy

Jesus the Son of God
Hung on the cross to die
But not even death it self
Could hold You down
For You rose to life

Such an awesome God
So mighty so holy
So wonderful
Such an awesome God
So selfless so generous
So faithful You are
