Genesis 6-9

Another Adam – and Another Fall

Genesis 6 to 9 draws us into a world overwhelmed by sin and reveals God grieving what sin has done to His creation. This Sunday, Pastor Jared Richard will preach “Another Adam, and Another Fall,” walking through the story of Noah and the flood. Take a few moments to read the passage beforehand and come ready to reflect on both God’s holiness and His mercy as we gather to worship.

Lyrics

Come all you weary
Come all you thirsty
Come to the well
That never runs dry
Drink of the Water
Come and thirst no more

Come all you sinners
Come find His mercy
Come to the table
He will satisfy
Taste of His goodness
Find what you’re looking for

For God so loved
The world that He gave us
His one and only
Son to save us
Whoever believes in Him
Will live forever

Bring all your failures
Bring your addictions
Come lay them down
At the foot of the cross
Jesus is waiting there
With open arms
See His open arms

For God so loved
The world that He gave us
His one and only
Son to save us
Whoever believes in Him
Will live forever

The power of Hell
Forever defeated
Now it is well
I’m walking in freedom
For God so loved
God so loved the world

Praise God
Praise God
From whom all blessings flow
Praise Him
Praise Him
For the wonders of His love

Bring all your failures
Bring your addictions
Come lay them down
At the foot of the cross
Jesus is waiting
God so loved the world

Lyrics

A mighty Fortress is our God
A Bulwark never failing
Our Helper He amid the flood
Of mortal ills prevailing
For still our ancient foe
Doth seek to work us woe
His craft and power are great
And armed with cruel and hate
On earth is not his equal

Did we in our own strength confide
Our striving would be losing
We're not the right Man on our side
The Man of God's own choosing
Dost ask who that may be?
Christ Jesus, it is He
The Lord of Hosts His Name
From age to age, the same
And He must win the battle

And though this world, with devils filled,
should threaten to undo us,
we will not fear, for God has willed
his truth to triumph through us.
The prince of darkness grim,
we tremble not for him;
his rage we can endure,
for lo! his doom is sure;
one little word shall fell him.

A mighty fortress, a rock unfailing
The King of Glory forever, amen
For endless ages, enthroned in praises
The King of Glory forever, amen.

That word above all earthly powers
No, thanks to them, abideth
The Spirit and the gifts are ours
Through Him who with us sideth
Let goods and kindred go
This mortal life also
The body they may kill
God's truth abideth still
His Kingdom is forever

A mighty fortress, a rock unfailing
The King of Glory forever, amen
For endless ages, enthroned in praises
The King of Glory forever, amen.
Forever, amen.

Lyrics

O Lord my Rock
And my Redeemer
Greatest treasure
Of my longing soul
My God like You there is no other
True delight
Is found in You alone
Your grace a well too deep to fathom
Your love exceeds the heavens’ reach
Your truth a fount
Of perfect wisdom
My highest good and my unending need
O Lord my Rock
And my Redeemer
Strong defender
Of my weary heart
My sword to fight the cruel deceiver
And my shield
Against his hateful darts
My song when enemies surround me
My hope when tides of sorrow rise
My joy when trials are abounding
Your faithfulness my refuge in the night
O Lord my Rock and my Redeemer
Gracious Savior of my ruined life
My guilt and cross laid on Your shoulders
In my place You suffered bled and died
You rose the grave
And death are conquered
You broke my bonds
Of sin and shame
O Lord my Rock
And my Redeemer
May all my days
Bring glory to Your Name
