Exodus 20:3

No Other Gods

Exodus 20:3 calls us to remember that the Lord alone is worthy of our worship and devotion. This Sunday, Pastor Jared Richard will lead us in God’s Word as we consider the first commandment and the call to give God first place in our hearts. Take a few moments this weekend to read the passage and prepare for worship. Listening to the songs ahead of time can help turn your attention to the holiness, greatness, and grace of our King.

Lyrics

We've waited for this day
We're gathered in Your name
Calling out to You
Your glory like a fire awakening desire
Will burn our hearts with truth
You're the reason we're here
You're the reason we're singing
Open up the heavens we want to see You
Open up the flood gates a mighty river
Flowing from Your heart and
Filling every part of our praise
Your presence in this place
Your glory on our face
We're looking to the skies
Descending like a cloud
You're standing with us now
Lord unveil our eyes
You're the reason we're here
You're the reason we're singing
Open up the heavens we want to see You
Open up the flood gates a mighty river
Flowing from Your heart and
Filling every part of our praise
Show us show us Your glory
Show us show us Your power
Show us show us Your glory Lord
Open up the heavens we want to see You
Open up the flood gates a mighty river
Flowing from Your heart and
Filling every part of our praise

Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!

Lyrics

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee.
Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!

Holy, holy, holy! all the saints adore thee,
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea.
All of heaven worships, falling down before thee,
Who was and is and evermore will be.

Holy, Holy, Holy! though the darkness hide thee,
Though the eye of sinful man thy glory may not see,
Only thou art holy; there is none beside thee,
Perfect in power, in love, and purity.

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy name, in earth, and sky, and sea;
Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity.

Lyrics

In the darkness we were waiting
Without hope, without light
'Til from heaven You came running
There was mercy in Your eyes

To fulfill the law and prophets
To a virgin came the word
From a throne of endless glory
To a cradle in the dirt

Praise the Father, praise the Son
Praise the Spirit, three in one
God of glory, Majesty
Praise forever to the King of kings

To reveal the Kingdom coming
And to reconcile the lost
To redeem the whole creation
You did not despise the cross

For even in Your suffering
You saw to the other side
Knowing this was our salvation
Jesus for our sake You died

Praise the Father, praise the Son
And praise the Spirit, three in one
God of glory, Majesty
Praise forever to the King of kings

And the morning that You rose
All of heaven held its breath
'Til that stone was moved for good
For the Lamb had conquered death

And the dead rose from their tombs
And the angels stood in awe
For the souls of all who'd come
To the Father are restored

And the church of Christ was born
Then the Spirit lit the flame
Now this gospel truth of old
Shall not kneel, shall not faint

By His blood and in His name
In His freedom I am free
For the love of Jesus Christ
Who Has resurrected me

Praise the Father, praise the Son
Praise the Spirit, three in one
God of glory, Majesty
And praise forever to the King of kings

Praise the Father, praise the Son
Praise the Spirit, three in one
God of glory, Majesty
Praise forever to the King of kings

Praise forever to the King of kings
We praise forever to the King of kings
