In the Beginning: God

What does the Bible mean when it opens with “In the beginning”? In Sunday’s message from Genesis 1, Pastor Jared Richard reminded us that this passage is less about how creation happened and more about who God is. We see a God who is eternal, singular, creative, and good, the One who powerfully and personally authored all of life for His good purposes. Knowing this rescuing God gives us confidence to rest in His faithfulness, trusting that nothing can stop His plans for salvation and new creation through Christ alone.
