1 Timothy 1:12-20
Grace That Overflows
In 1 Timothy 1:12–20, Paul reflects with gratitude on the mercy and grace of Christ, then charges Timothy to remain faithful in the work entrusted to him. This Sunday, Pastor Jared Richard will continue our series through 1 Timothy as we look together at this passage. Take a few moments this weekend to read these verses and let God’s Word prepare your heart for worship.
As you listen to the songs ahead of Sunday, you’ll hear one that is new to our church. We’re committed to singing the best of the rich tradition we’ve received while also introducing newer songs that faithfully express the truths we believe. When a song gives us meaningful words to remember and celebrate what Christ has done, we’re grateful for the opportunity to learn it and sing it together.
His Mercy Is More
Lyrics
What love could remember
No wrongs we have done
Omniscient all knowing
He counts not their sum
Thrown into a sea
Without bottom or shore
Our sins they are many
His mercy is more
Praise the Lord
His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness
New every morn
Our sins they are many
His mercy is more
What patience would wait
As we constantly roam
What Father so tender
Is calling us home
He welcomes the weakest
The vilest the poor
Our sins they are many
His mercy is more
Praise the Lord
His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness
New every morn
Our sins they are many
His mercy is more
What riches of kindness
He lavished on us
His blood was the payment
His life was the cost
We stood 'neath a debt
We could never afford
Our sins they are many
His mercy is more
Praise the Lord
His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness
New every morn
Our sins they are many
His mercy is more
Lyrics
See, on the hill of Calvary
My Savior bled for me
My Jesus set me free
And look at the wounds that give me life
Grace flowing from His side
No greater sacrifice
What He's done
What He's done
All the glory and the honor to the Son
My sins are forgiven
My future is Heaven
I praise God for what He's done
Sing for the freedom He has won
Even death is dead and done
His life has overcome (oh)
Speak, say the Name above all names
Over every broken place
He is risen from the grave (oh-oh-oh)
What He's done
What He's done
All the glory and the honor to the Son
My sins are forgiven
My future is Heaven
I praise God for what He's done (ohh)
Now on a throne of majesty
The Father's will complete
He reigns in victory, oh
Sing hallelujah to the King
He is worthy to receive
All the worship we can bring (oh-oh-oh)
What He's done
What He's done (yeah)
All the glory and the honor to the Son
My sins are forgiven
My future is Heaven
I praise God for what He's done (oh-oh-oh)
What He's done (oh, what He's done)
What He's done (I thank you, Jesus), yeah
All the glory and the honor to the Son
My sins are forgiven
My future is Heaven
I praise God (I praise God) for what He's done
I praise God for what He's done
Amazing Grace
Lyrics
Amazing grace how sweet the sound
that saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
was blind, but now I see.
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
and grace my fears relieved;
how precious did that grace appear
the hour I first believed!
Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come:
'tis grace has brought me safe thus far,
and grace will lead me home.
When we've been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun;
We've no less days to sing God's praise,
Than when we first begun,
Than when we first begun.
