God, The One and Only: The First Commandment

In this sermon on the First Commandment from Exodus 20, Pastor Jared Richard establishes that the Ten Commandments are not a checklist for earning God's favor, but rather expressions of love rooted in what God has already done for His people. God alone is worthy of exclusive worship because He is the eternal Creator, the Almighty, and the personal Savior who delivers His people. Because our hearts are broken and prone to idolatry, only the faithful worship of Jesus — and the new heart He gives us through the Gospel — makes our own faithful worship possible.
